Provided information technology management consulting services to colleges, universities, and organizations supporting higher education in a variety of engagements including:
— Information technology strategic planning for a private, multi-campus     professional school
— Policy development for a major private research-oriented institution
— Information security assessment for a major public multi-campus university     system

Created and led a highly effective, proactive, information security organization. Revitalized the previous information security organization from unsuccessful, non-leadership, reactive orientation toward successful, highly proactive, leadership focused, outreaching organization.
— Led the University toward a more effective information-secure posture
— Improved information security of key administrative applications
— Raised overall information security awareness across the campus

Built and developed an organization to provide support for all administrative applications. Successfully managed all system changes while reducing overall system maintenance budget. Completed initial re-engineering of administrative applications into market-place supported applications.
— Established and staffed a client-managed priority setting forum.
— Established an enterprise-wide system integration group to ensure
    data integration across all ERP and other major system implementations
— Extended applications to students and other end-users via the web.

Lead the creation and development of an Academic Information Infrastructure Plan designed to migrate all library processing and information needs to a new information systems architecture.

Saw the need for, and created, a departmental computing support organization that helped distributed departments become self-sufficient while integrating information needs of central systems to provide support to both central needs and distributed departments.

Rebuilt an organization that successfully supported hospital computing needs while also integrating that function into the University’s computing support organization. Successfully migrated entire hospital computing environment into University information infrastructure and upgraded all major applications.
